Also known as the Art-Alchemist and GHOST (God Holds Our Souls Together; Genocide Hinders Our Survival Tactics), I am a visual, graphic, and comic book artist and poet of Baton Rouge, LA by way of Norwood, LA. I received an Associates Degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Houston and a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from Southern University and A&M College of Baton Rouge. I proudly sit on the Artist Advisory Board of the Arts Council of Baton Rouge, LA.
I specialize in traditional medium (graphite and color pencil, acrylic, watercolor, ink) as well as digital media (Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator). I call my current style, "Art Alchemy" in which I "transform" human subjects into beings of fantastical mythologies, ancient histories, as well as comic books.
Speaking of comic books, my most ambitious art project is the Afro-Fantasy comic book series, "Sankofa's Eymbrace" which was conceptually 19 years in the making. I serve as creator, writer, penciler, colorist, letterer, and graphic designer, while my wife, Erica, does the editing. In 2019, we finally released issue 1 and we are currently developing issue 3.
