His practice centers on exploring the intersections of culture, emotion, and identity through expressive line work, earth-tone palettes, and textured compositions. As President of the Slidell Art League, Young actively fosters artistic growth and accessibility within his community. His work spans public murals, community exhibitions, and private commissions, all reflecting a commitment to storytelling and human connection. Young views art as both a personal exploration and a communal act of reflection, healing, and transformation.

Optimistic  

What do you love the most about creating art in your community? What particular part of your immediate environment, in your neighborhood specifically influences your work?

I think of myself a world class magician. Taking a blank canvas and creating nothing out of thin air is magic.  

Describe your creative process. Are there any rituals or rites of passage you exercise before you begin a new piece? 

Things just happens organically. I just try to let my thoughts lead me.

Where can we find you when you are not creating art?

You can find me with my wife and daughter relaxing at home.
