Sonoscenes blend art and home audio. The idea is that a home stereo can take almost any shape, whether wall-hung art, sculpture, etc. On St. Claude is a sculptural piece with an integrated amplifier and quality coaxial speakers. It features Bluetooth, wifi, optical and analog inputs, and comes with an optical remote. The "Tire Shop" contains the amplifier and one speaker, while the house contains a passive speaker. The connection of the house speaker to the amp is through the "power wires" that connect the two telephone poles. The two buildings also feature working LED "street lamps." The graffiti/wall art was added "live" at the opening of Where Y'art Gallery's "Urbanism and Eccentricities" show on August 11, 2018. Graffiti is the work of Meek, TopMob, and other gallery visitors. The built-in amplifier is controllable via a wifi phone app and has a mono subwoofer out for use with a powered subwoofer (not included). The amp can be used with either (US standard) 110V/60hz or (Euro standard) 230V/50hz power. Construction is (mostly scrap) wood, plywood, wire, and real reinforced concrete.
