My backboard is a dreamy interpretation of New Orleans' spirit, community and opulence.
I wanted to create a majestic blackboard that would bring a since of pride and power to Black and brown people who deserve to have something opulent and beautiful in their very own court. A true representation of how many people feel about themselves, even if they're rarely viewed that way.
