Bruce Williams

Artist + Bruce Williams

My goal is to create 35mm and 120mm film street photographs in a painterly style that focuses on documenting architecture, conservation, history, contemporary social problems, as well as striving for social justice. Community and humanity inspire me, capturing the essence displayed in various environments across cities in Louisiana feels spiritual to me. My hometown is Baton Rouge, that's where my artistic journey began and the city continues to inspire me. New Orleans has been my home since Spring 2021, I love the people who make up the community and subcultures here in the city. Film is my main medium, all of my B&W and color film photos are developed by myself at home. My types or styles of photography are architecture, cityscapes, dreamscapes, landscapes, portraits, street photography, and surreal scenes.

My archival film photo giclée  prints have been in art markets, exhibited, as well as collected by people and entities in various cities across the US.
