I am a contemporary Turkish American visual artist and urban designer based in New Orleans. My practice spans drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, and interdisciplinary projects that explore history, collective memory, architecture, and the material landscape.
My work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, Aqua Art Fair Miami, Art on Paper NYC, the Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, and the Onsite Gallery in Toronto. My work and career have been featured in Metropolis Magazine, Gambit's Top 40 Under 40, and on NPR. I have received the Architizer A+ Award and was honored with Best of Show at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in 2026.
I was selected as the official poster artist for the 2026 Crescent City Classic and currently serve as the Collectors Club Artist for the Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans, where I previously held leadership roles as a member of the Board of Trustees and Program Chair. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Arts Council of New Orleans as Development Chair. I was the Printmaking Artist-in-Residence at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts, where I am now a member of the faculty.
I am a founding member of Camp Street Studios and The Parlour Gallery, two artist-run spaces dedicated to supporting artists and fostering creative exchange in New Orleans. I was formerly a member of the Front Artist Collective. Earlier in my career, I coordinated the first major Habitat for Humanity Buckminster Fuller Design Science Exhibition in Istanbul, Turkey. I also worked as a senior designer at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and Kohn Pedersen Fox in New York City. I hold a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute.
