My goal is to create 35mm and 120mm film street photographs in a painterly style that focuses on documenting architecture, conservation, history, contemporary social problems, as well as striving for social justice. Community and humanity inspire me, capturing the essence displayed in various environments across cities in Louisiana feels spiritual to me. My hometown is Baton Rouge, that's where my artistic journey began and the city continues to inspire me. New Orleans has been my home since Spring 2021, I love the people who make up the community and subcultures here in the city. Film is my main medium, all of my B&W and color film photos are developed by myself at home. My types or styles of photography are architecture, cityscapes, dreamscapes, landscapes, portraits, street photography, and surreal scenes.
My archival film photo giclée prints have been in art markets, exhibited, as well as collected by people and entities in various cities across the US.

Questions & Answers
Describe your art in three words.
Calming. Captivating. Dreamy.
Describe yourself in one word.
Love.
What do you love the most about creating art in your community? What particular part of your immediate environment, in your neighborhood specifically influences your work?
Creating art in my community makes me love the experience of having my ear to the ground, seeing how the environment has an affect on the community and the effects community has on the environment. Most of my archival film photos are done in natural lighting and outside in the elements, adapting to weather conditions and lighting is crucial.
Describe your creative process. Are there any rituals or rites of passage you exercise before you begin a new piece?
My spiritualness is the root of my life and my art, my daily meditation routine helps me stay present and organizes my thoughts. When out in the world photographing or at home developing film, there's music playing. Following my intuition is part of my creative process, no photos are forced and where to go or what to photograph is a feeling that can only be experienced in the now. A great week of work usually means there's several rolls of film that have been used, developed, and scanned by me.
Where do you draw inspiration?
My inspirations are rooted in my spiritualness, humanity, and life.
Who are your artistic influences or gurus?
Gordon Parks, Les Blank, Agnes Varda, Yorgos Lanthimos, Benny Andrews, Maxfield Parrish, Faith Ringgold, Hilma af Klint, George Clinton, Charles and Ray Eames.
