My backboard is an image of a woman looking up to the sky putting on a mask in the shape of a bird with the feathers draped over her face. A lot of my work includes depictions of black women in traditional New Orleans masking attire. NOLA Has Wiiings inspired me to take that one step further and do something different with the mask.
