Her practice integrates sculpture, painting, collage, and digital media to create layered works that explore memory, identity, and collective healing. Rooted in Creole and Black cultural traditions, Thompson transforms ecological and historical narratives into contemporary forms that invite reflection and participation.
Her public artworks and installations engage audiences in both physical and digital space, bridging traditional craft with emerging technologies. In parallel, Thompson’s film practice expands these themes into moving image, using experimental structures to explore the intersections of history, imagination, and cultural continuity.
Through both visual and cinematic work, Thompson positions art as a restorative force—building connections across communities while honoring resilience, ancestry, and shared vision.
