One of my favorite things about New Orleans is stepping around a corner into a secret oasis. There are so many hidden courtyards and surprisingly quiet corners tucked away here. I was inspired by the joining of architecture and natural elements that seem to create hidden pockets that are off the beaten path.

I grew up in Natchitoches, Louisiana and am now based out of Shreveport. I'm a lifelong painter. Some of my earliest memories involve being covered head to toe in paint. Every margin of every notebook was filled with doodles in school. I settled on a career as a massage therapist, but the Covid shutdown allowed me to pursue art full time and I haven't looked back. My brain is always 4 or 5 paintings ahead of me. I have had so many exciting opportunities as an artist in Louisiana, and I can't wait to see what's around the next bend in the art road!
