I am a professional painter who came from Lagos, Nigeria to New Orleans in 2019. I have participated in several art exhibitions and have shown my work extensively around the world. My recent exhibitions include "Mystery in Motion" at the Louisiana State Museum and "Let's Play" at Where y'Art Works.

Describe yourself in one word
What do you love the most about creating art in New Orleans? What particular part of your immediate environment, in your neighborhood specifically influences your work?
I love the vibe, the music, the street dance, the second line, the Joy and love that surround it and most importantly the energy in general.
Describe your creative process. Are there any rituals or rites of passage you exercise before you begin a new piece?
I am usually like a pregnant woman in the labour room when am starting a new piece. So, most times I like to be alone with the music on the side.
Where do you draw inspiration?
From my Yoruba Culture, New Orleans Culture, street performance, everywhere I see crowds like Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, second lines, dance, music, and any environment where people are happy.
Who are your artistic influences or gurus?
Painters, sculptors, photographers, most especially those that have gone ahead of me in the industry.
In New Orleans, art and music go hand in hand. What type of music, band or song lyric best describes your work?
I love to hear the sound of jazz bands always.
Where can we find you when you are not creating art?
Either selling art or drawing inspiration somewhere
What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year?
Midnight (silent moment)

I can smile a lot and I can be very playful
