The series Gone From My Sight emerged during one of the most difficult periods of my life, following the loss of my son in an automobile accident. I expected the paintings to become dark, quiet, and restrained. Instead, they developed a life of their own. They insisted on becoming luminous, filled with color, movement, and unexpected energy.
Rather than documenting grief, the series became an acknowledgment—and ultimately a celebration—of being alive: of breath, light, color, and the unseen forces that carry us forward. Hovering between the physical and the metaphysical, the paintings occupy the threshold between what can be seen and what can only be felt.
